What is Safe Backup?

Safe Backup automatically backs up your computer files via the internet to a secure data vault. If anything were to happen to your computer that causes data loss, you can easily restore your data with a few clicks.

Can you see my files?

No. Your files are protected by AES-256 encryption technology before they leave your computer. Not even senior Safe Backup administrators can see your files without your password.

How secure is it?

All data sent from your computer is encypted and stored in our hi-tech data centre. Data centre security features include 24x7 monitoring, biometric entry access, keycard protocols and employee backround checks.

How long does it take to do a backup?

After the initial backup, Safe Backup only sends new files or current files that have been modified. This is called an incremental backup and most clients have found it takes 5-10 minutes each day.

What sort of things can I backup?

Anything that is on your computer. Documents, emails, music, pictures, financial and payroll databases such as MYOB and Quickbooks.

I deleted or overwrote a file. Can I get the original back?

Safe Backup has a history function that can restore previous versions of files and deleted files. The default is 60 days for keeping deleted and previous versions. You can change the amount of days history. Click here to view.

Can you backup in use files?

Yes Safe Backup can backup files that are currently 'in use' such as SQL databases and email storage files.

Can I install Safe Backup on multiple computers?

Yes you can install Safe Backup on multiple computers using the one account. Up to 10 computers are allowed.

Where are my MYOB and Quickbooks databases located?

Which operating systems are supported?

Microsoft Windows XP, Vista and 7. As well as Windows Server 2003 and 2008. Mac OSX 10.5 or later is also supported.

Can I pay via direct debit?

As well as accepting credit cards we also have a direct debit payment option. Start a free trial and email us at billing@safebackup.com.au with your account username so we can enable this payment method for you.

I'm not sure which plan I need?

To see how much data you have, hold your mouse pointer over the folder where your files are, right click and select properties. The Safe Backup software also calculates the size of your selected files, so you can check before the first backup. Click here to view.

If I go over my GB limit will Safe Backup still work?

Safe Backup will automatically adjust your plan up and down as you add and remove data from your computer. All your files will still be backed up even if you hit your data limit.
